ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Early Friday morning, a semitractor trailer carrying a crane lost control and crashed on State Road 417, causing the southbound lanes to be closed for several hours, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

At around 3:46 a.m., Ormond Beach resident David Springstun was driving the 1997 semitractor trailer southbound on State Road 417 when the front, right tire "suffered a mechanical failure" and he lost control, stated the FHP.
The truck overturned, struck the guardrail and came to a stop on its left said, described the FHP.
This happened near mile marker 31, approaching Curry Ford Road.
The 50-year-old Springstun, who was wearing his seatbelt, was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for minor injuries, confirmed the FHP, which added that he will not be facing any charges.
The crane was put upright at 6:09 a.m. and the southbound lanes were reopened at around 6:52 a.m.

A few vehicles were getting by on the right shoulder sporadically and Spectrum News Traffic Anchor Ryan Harper suggested to drivers another route to pass the crash.
