ORLANDO, Fla. — One of attributes that sets the Lake Mary High School football team apart is they’ve been playing together since elementary school.

What You Need To Know

  • Lake Mary advanced to the state championship for the first time

  • Noah Grubbs, quarterback, committed to Notre Dame

  • Grubbs has thrown for over 2,800 yards and 34 passing touchdowns

“We’ve been building this brotherhood for a long time,” said quarterback Noah Grubbs. “I would say 20 of us have came from Pop Warner. Some of these (teammates) I’ve played with since I was five. So building that chemistry all the way up has really brought us together.”

Trust is the foundation of the Rams, and it’s one of the reasons Grubbs has been drop dimes all season long.

He’s thrown for almost 2,800 hundred yards, 34 passing touchdowns with only 10 interceptions in 14-games.

Grubbs playing well doesn’t surprise anyone. The four-star quarterback has already committed to Notre Dame.

“It definitely helped with stress coming off my shoulders for sure,” said Grubbs. “Just the atmosphere, the coaches and the family, they’re all about family up there. That’s really what I loved. The tradition Notre Dame has and what they offer life after football.”

For the first time in program history, the Rams advanced to the state championship game against Venice.

Lake Mary lost 52-19 in the state final on Saturday.

Although the season didn’t end how they want, these Rams made history.
