The terms of the contracts were not revealed, in keeping with team policy.

Culver, a 6-foot-6, 195-pound swingman, played on the Magic’s Summer League team. He also averaged 20.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.93 assists per game and shot 38% from 3-point range with Rio Grande Valley of the G League last season. He was selected sixth overall in the 2019 NBA Draft and has played in 144 career NBA regular-season games, including 43 starts, with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks.

Gardner, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound guard, averaged 4.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in 31 appearances with the Osceola Magic and played on the Orlando Magic’s Summer League team.

Slawson, a 6-foot-7, 215-pound forward, averaged 0.7 point in 3.1 minutes per appearance in 12 games with the Sacramento Kings. He also started in 30 games with Stockton, Calif., of the NBA G League, averaging 13.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.43 blocks and 1.7 steals per game. Sacramento drafted Slawson No. 53 overall in the 2023 NBA Draft.

Scott, who went undrafted, played in a combined 26 games for the G League’s Greensboro and Osceola franchises last season and averaged 6.3 points and 3 rebounds and was on the Orlando Magic’s Summer League roster in July. The 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward also has played in two games for the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and with Agua Caliente and Salt Lake City in the G League.

Even prior to these signings, the Magic had the maximum of 15 players on their roster for the upcoming season, and guard Trevelin Queen is on a two-way contract, meaning he will split time between the Orlando and G League Osceola Magic.

However, teams are allowed 21 players in the offseason so they can compete for a regular-season roster spot, a two-way contract or a G League roster spot. The Magic still have two opportunities for a player to sign a two-way contract. Culver is not eligible for a two-way contract because he has already played too many seasons. Players with four years or more of service cannot sign two-way deals.

Many players brought by teams right before training camp sign Exhibit 10 contracts, which are one-year, non-guaranteed contracts, and some have options for a bonus if they sign with the team’s G League team after being waived.

The first Magic practice of training camp is expected to be Oct. 1.
