  • Orlando will play New Orleans twice, Philadelphia and San Antonio

  • The preseason games start Oct. 7 in New Orleans

  • The second Pelicans game and the 76ers matchup are in Orlando

This year's preseason schedule is heavy on teams that went to the playoffs last season, indicating that they want to face teams that will help prepare them for another trip to the postseason in 2024-25.

The Magic also will take on All-Stars Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and the rest of the Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 18 at the Kia Center.

The fourth preseason game will be against the Spurs and center Victor Wembanyama in San Antonio.

The schedule is similar to last year's in that the Magic take on the Pelicans twice again. Instead of playing the Cleveland Cavaliers, who they faced in the playoffs this past season, Orlando will play Philadelphia and San Antonio. The Magic's final preseason game last year was against the Brazilian team Flamengo. Orlando went 3-1 in the preseason last year.

The NBA usually releases the regular-season schedule in early to mid-August.

Next up on the Magic's radar are the NBA Draft on June 26 and 27, free agency starting at 6 p.m. June 30 and the NBA Summer League from July 12 to July 22.

Single-game tickets for the preseason are for sale now on the Magic's website or by calling 407-89-MAGIC (or 407-896-2442).
