ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Magic have sent Mo Bamba, the sixth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, to the Los Angeles Lakers.

In return, Orlando will receive Patrick Beverley, a second-round pick and cash considerations.

A source told Spectrum Sports 360's Luke Hetrick that the Magic are not expected to keep Beverley.

After serving as a starter earlier in his career, Bamba served in a backup role this year, averaging 7.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

He is currently serving a four-game suspension following an altercation Friday night vs. Minnesota.

The NBA trade deadline was 3 p.m. Thursday, and it was a busy last few days of trades as some teams eye the playoffs and others, like the Magic, look to the future.
