KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — There's a new entrance into the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and it might look familiar to space fans.

  • Kenendy Space Center Visitor Complex has new entrance plaza
  • New entrance plaza designed to ease congestion around center

The new parking plaza was designed to resemble one of NASA's crawler-transporters, which have been used to carry Saturn V rockets, space shuttles, and, in the future, Space Launch System rockets.

The Visitor Complex came up with the new entrance plaza, located off Space Commerce Way, to improve traffic flow, it says. It hopes the new entrance plaza helps ease congestion out to the space center, which has been known to back up when there are rocket launches.

The new plaza opened this week.

There are currently no changes to parking fees.
