ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Science Center will have “Science Bob” Pflugfelder on hand for its Spark STEM Fest over the Presidents Day weekend, where there will be demonstrations and events.

From Saturday through Monday, experts and speakers will be on hand to highlight the diverse careers that can be found in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The Spark STEM Fest, presented by the University of Central Florida’s (UCF) Office of Researcher, will have hand-on experiments, displays, shows and panels.
“Spark STEM Fest highlights a broad range of STEM disciplines and inspires curious minds of all ages through hands-on learning experiences and encounters with experts and educators,” the center stated in a press release.
In addition to Science Bob, some of the other presenters and attractions include:
- UCF’s Encounter TapeMeasure the Robot Dog
- Savannah Boan, the Crocodilian Enrichment coordinator at Gatorland
- Giant foam explosions and the group WeFlip, where acrobatics is used to demonstrate science concepts
- Discover about new underwater tech and learning about the breakdown of sharks
- Learning about space and astronomy
- The science of making the best grilled cheese sandwich
- There are video game competitions, like a Rainbow Road race or a Super Smash Bros Tournament

The prices are: $24 for adults, seniors and students $22, youth are $18 and children under 2 are free.
And it will be an additional $5 per ticket to see Science Bob.
For each day, the fest is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
