Democratic Rep. Darren Soto won reelection in the District 9 seat Tuesday. Republican challenger Thomas Chalifoux came in second.
District 9 includes much of Osceola County.
Chalifoux earned just under 50% of the vote in his primary in August, and Soto didn’t have a primary.
Soto was behind on donations as of the September 30 report, Chalifoux earned $2.6 million in donations, and Soto earned over $1.8million.
Soto has served in the U.S. House since 2016. During the last session of Congress, he served on the Committee on Energy and Commerce, as well as the Committee on Agriculture.
