Republican Richard Gentry won the race for Florida’s House District 27 Tuesday. Democratic challenger Andy Ferrari came in second. 

Gentry beat two other opponents in his primary, where he earned 36.9% of the vote. He has earned over $204,000 in his election effort, according to Open Secrets. 

Ferrari’s Democratic primary was canceled. As of the latest campaign finance filing, he had raised just under $4,000. 

The seat is currently held by Florida Rep. Stan McClain, who won in 2022. The seat was previously held by Webster Barnaby.
