ORLANDO, Fla. — You can now raise a “grown-up” glass at SeaWorld Orlando during the final weeks of Electric Ocean.
Jomar Rios is SeaWorld Orlando's Executive Chef. For the first time ever, he's creating the theme park's Craft Beer Festival menu. “I started [cooking] with my grandmother [in Puerto Rico] when I was about 9-years-old,” Chef told us. “And after that, I haven't stopped.”
For nearly 6 months, he has been a SeaWorld top chef. “I'm a big believer that once you're happy, the food tastes even better,” he said, showing off his Birria Pork Tacos with Guajillo Chile Broth and his Slow Braised Beef Short Rib.
The Craft Beer Festival coincides with the final few weeks of Electric Ocean. The fest features 21 food/drink huts, nearly 100 craft brews and 15 specialty food items.
As one option, guests can buy sampling lanyards at SeaWorld Orlando's Welcome Center and at all Beer Hut locations. The '8 Item Sampling Lanyard' is $55 and includes up to 8 food or drink samples from the limited-time menu.
The Craft Beer Festival gives love to local breweries, like Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. and Cigar City Brewing. The Festival runs Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through September 5, 2022.
