KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Disney Springs and Universal's CityWalk are closed due to coronavirus, but restaurants at Kissimmee's entertainment district, Sunset Walk at Margaritaville Resort, are open for pick-up and delivery.
The good news? Each one of them is cutting you a financial break. Here’s how:
1. Quarantine kits: “I never thought on a display that I'd be setting up toilet paper!” said Kris Maranpot, Rock & Brews' Managing Partner, who, during our recent visit, showed off what the restaurant's "quarantine kits" look like.
“The packs are $48, so for eight people — that's a pretty good deal. We discounted it heavily.”
Each kit includes a roll of toilet paper and bottled water.
2. Family meals: Estefan Kitchen recently celebrated its grand opening.
“Because of the circumstances, we wanted to put together some family meals," said spokesperson Stacey Vazquez.
That includes a Latin dinner for 4 people starting at $25.
3. Discounts with apps: BurgerFi is talking up its app — big time.
"(With the app) until April 30, you can get – every day – 25 percent off your order,” said General Manager Megan Humphries.
4. First responder, service worker discounts: Both Capone's Coal Fired Pizza and Ford's Garage are offering 25 percent off to first responders and service industry workers. El Jefe Tequilas is giving Florida locals a 15 percent discount, and also has $7 taco boxes for service industry folks.
5. Other discounts: At Bento Asian Kitchen + Sushi, $35 feeds four and then families can get 50 percent off Kids Bento boxes.
