Cattails Supper Club in Larsen is one of the 20 supper clubs that will participate. Cattails has been open for more than a year.

Owner Cathy Davey opened the business because she said the area needed more supper clubs. She said when the NFL reached out for her to participate in the draft for a good cause, it was a no-brainer.

“It's super exciting and people are really happy that we have a local supper club representing Green Bay, because the draft is such a huge thing,” said Davey.

Davey will be dishing out signature pork chops for the many in attendance at the draft. She said the NFL has made it easy for them because they don’t have to cook the meal, but she isn’t worried about how it’s going to taste.

“We don't have to do anything,” said Davey. “Actually, they have a huge catering company out of Milwaukee that is preparing everything. So, we just had to give them our recipe and we have to be present to serve the food and that's about it.”

Customer Jenny McLeod wasn't planning on going to the draft originally. But, her second home changed her mind for her 50th birthday after she was surprised with two tickets. A gift, McLeod said, she's grateful for having.

“I don't even know. I just want to take it all in,” said McLeod. “I don't really know what to expect because again, I thought it was going to be just, you know, not going to happen.”

Davey said there are plenty of positives for being one of the  supper clubs participating in the fundraiser. She said she's glad her dining space can stand out in representing the Badger State.

“It's pretty exciting that all that money is going to the children and then we get a little bit more exposure,” said Davey. “We are pretty new, so every week we get people that they didn't know we reopened because this place had been shut down a year and a half and we had a change of name. So, it's a really great exposure for us to get our name out there.”
