The University of Hawaii is reminding students who are Hawaii residents that they can pay less for summer school courses at all seven of UH’s community colleges than during the school year.
Hawaii residents pay $131 per credit (normally $248), making enrollment in summer school courses at UH’s community colleges a cost-effective way to earn credits, according to a news release.
Additionally, the summer term is condensed into two six-week sessions or one eight-week session, allowing students to complete courses quickly while maintaining flexibility in their schedules.
“Summer courses at UH Community Colleges provide a valuable opportunity for students to progress toward their degrees at reduced tuition rates,” said Della Teraoka, interim vice president of UH Community Colleges. “With shorter sessions and lower costs, it’s a great time to invest in your education.”
UH encourages students to sign up quickly for summer courses before they fill up.
