The Hawaii Department of Health conducts annual surveys in order to learn about Hawaii residents’ health behaviors and attitudes.
Beginning later in April, DOH will launch its Hawaii Health and Media Survey to learn how people access and respond to health-related information using a new method — text messaging — to reach a broader audience.
According to DOH, selected individuals will receive a text message from either 808-431-0118 or 808-431-0125, inviting them to participate in the survey. They encourage anyone who receives the message to consider taking part in the survey, which will take about 10 minutes to complete.
Each text message will contain a unique survey link that can only be used once. All responses are completely confidential — no personal identifiers such as phone numbers or email addresses will be linked to individual responses.
The survey is being administered on behalf of the DOH by Professional Data Analysts. Email HIhealthsurvey@pdastats.com for questions or more information.
