VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia County will host a series of three public information sessions to discuss long-term beach improvement and resiliency planning.

County staff will provide shoreline trends, findings from the Coastal User Survey, and explore potential long-term solutions at each session for residents to discuss.

Different stations will be set up where residents can learn about various topics, including potential coastal resiliency solutions and historic shoreline trends.

Residents will get to speak with county staff and provide input on feasible, effective strategies for their specific communities.

All sessions will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. The public is welcome to arrive anytime during the two-hour session.

The dates and locations include:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Meeting Room 103 at the Ocean Center, 101 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach
  • Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the Daytona Beach Shores Community Center, 3000 Bellemead Drive
  • Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Ballroom at the Brannon Center, 105 S. Riverside Drive, New Smyrna Beach

The county will post the presentation materials and a link to provide feedback on the site for anyone unable to attend a meeting.
