ORLANDO, Fla. — The Pro Bowl brought NFL fans from all over the country to have a chance to see some of the best players the NFL has to offer.
The All-Star event has seen a lot of changes over the years but what has stayed consistent is the fans love for their favorite players.
“Bijan (Robinson) got in though, so I get to see my boy! Hopefully, he can break some ankles out there," shared Atlanta Falcons fan Josh Bohannon.
People like Bohannon also like to share their disdain for others.
“You know, I can’t stand Baker Mayfield, you suck," Bohannon exclaimed.
The Pro Bowl was a homecoming for other groups.
Apopka native Jalen Carter made his first Pro Bowl for the Philadelphia Eagles this year but could not attend the game because he’s playing for something bigger, the Super Bowl.
But that didn’t stop his family from congratulating him.
“So, we’re just celebrating Jalen. It was an honor for him to be selected into the Pro Bowl, it’s right in our backyard," Carter's mother Toni Brown said. "We’re at home and although we never anticipated him actually being here, we knew that we would come out and celebrate.”
Carter’s tailgate offered food, different vendors and even goodie bags from Carter himself. It's a gift the hometown kid wanted to give back and a feat his mother is at a loss of words for.
“Oh my God, I don’t even think I have the words for it," Brown said. “I don’t know if I’m a mom, I don’t know if I’m a manager.”
But there was more than just Eagles fan.
The streets surrounding Camping World Stadium were filled with an array of jerseys changing from group to group and even family to family like the Hahns.
“We’ve seen it on tv, and we said, ‘We got to get out here because we want to see the talent,’" said Lake resident Michael Hahn. "We love the NFL and we’re from Chicago, so I’m repping Walter Payton here and Tom Brady is where my wife’s from, so we love Tom Brady and then we have roots in New England.”
Hahn said his family watched the festivities from home last year and since they moved to Florida from Chicago, he felt it was the perfect time to treat his boys.
“I mean I’m really excited like I’ve seen all of these guys on TV and just being up close to them is going to be like really cool," Madden Hahn exclaimed.
"Being close to the players and being able to see them live is fun," added Mason Hahn.
As the players celebrated making the Pro Bowl, others like Josh Bohannon chose to celebrate at it.
The soon-to-be-groom always wanted an opportunity and access to the big game, so he decided to celebrate his bachelor party in Orlando at the Pro Bowl.
“I’m going to be honest man my whole life growing up it was kind of a joke, you know?" Bohannon said. "It was out in Hawaii, everybody is all chilling out there with no one in the stands and I didn’t even realize it was in Orlando until I was watching some highlights from last year and the next thing you know we’re here.”
Whatever the reason may be, fans are ready to show their moves, as the players showcased theirs.
