HILLSBOROUGH, Fla. – One person was arrested early Friday for attacking an investigator responding after a house fire in Seffner.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews responded just before 6 a.m. to calls of two mobile homes on fire in the area of Robson Avenue near MLK Boulevard.

A fire investigator also responded to the scene, officials said.

Upon arrival, the investigator was attacked by a man at the scene. Deeming the area too dangerous, fire crews were kept from attacking the fires.

Also, forced to protect himself, the investigator drew his gun and held the suspect at gunpoint until deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrived and secured the area.

Once the area was determined to be safe, firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in 30 minutes.

There were no injuries.

The cause of the fires is under investigation.

Officials have not released information on the man arrested or the charges he is facing.
