Sunrail

Service has resumed Friday after being suspended Thursday, Sept. 26 because of Hurricane Helene. Crews inspected the railway corridor following Hurricane Helene and determined that it is safe to resume service.

LYNX

All LYNX fixed route, NeighborLink and LYMMO services will be provided as scheduled until further notice except Link 701, which will not operate on Thursday, Sept. 26. If sustained winds reach 35 mph, the LYNX transit system will shut down temporarily for safety reasons.

ACCESS LYNX will only provide life-sustaining medical trips on Thursday, Sept. 26.

All LYNX services will operate under a regular schedule on Friday, Sept. 27.

Votran

Votran will suspend all transit services starting at 5 p.m. Thursday in anticipation of Hurricane Helene's impacts. Buses that begin their routes by 5 p.m. will complete their trips. Additionally, VoRide services will cease operations at 6 p.m.

Normal operations for both Votran and VoRide are expected to resume on Friday once conditions improve. Riders seeking route and service updates can visit www.votran.org or use the myStop mobile app. Customers can contact Votran's customer service team at 386-761-7700 for information regarding Friday's services. VoRide-specific inquiries should be directed to 386-210-9861. Both customer service lines will reopen at 8 a.m. tomorrow. 

Space Coast Area Transit

No information is available about possible changes in the transit system's operations during Hurricane Helene. Active rider alerts are available on its website.

Road Rangers

The rangers will continue to patrol I-4 until Central Florida reaches sustained winds of 35 mph, at which time they will be pulled off the street and return to operation when it is deemed safe.

Other services

Orange County waste and recycling collection

Orange County customers whose garbage and recycling collection is scheduled for Thursdays will not be picked up on Sept. 26. However, their garbage and recycling will be picked up on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Regular Friday pickup is expected to proceed as normal.

At this time, the Orange County Landfill and transfer stations are scheduled to reopen Friday.

Winter Springs waste and recycling collection

Waste and recyling collections were suspended for Thursday, Sept. 26. Wastepro will resume normal operations on Friday, Sept. 27. Service will resume on customers' next regularly scheduled pickup day.

City of Sanford garbage and recycling

Regularly scheduled collection services will resume on Monday, Sept. 30.

Garbage collection in Marion, Sumter and Lake counties

Waste Management will resume collection services in Marion, Lake and Sumter counties on Friday, Sept. 27. Residential customers receiving service once per week will be delayed one day. Thursday customers' garbage will be collected on Friday and Friday customers on Saturday. Thursday residential customers serviced twice per week will have their garbage collected on their next regularly scheduled service day, and Friday customers will be serviced on their regular schedule.

Orange County Library System

All library branches and book drops will close on Thursday, Sept. 26 because of the approach of Hurricane Helene. The library system plans to reopen on Friday, September 27, for normal business hours, conditions permitting.

Dr. Phillips Center for the Perfoming Arts

All performances scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 26 are canceled. This includes "Girl From The North Country" and its Talkback, "The Second City 65th Anniversary Show" and Sean Holcomb inside Judson’s Live.
