VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia County is offering free door and pool-motion alarms to residents on Friday to improve water safety for households with children.

County officials will distribute the free alarms starting at 9 a.m. on June 28 at six locations.

The giveaway includes a four-pack of window/door alarms that emit a sound when a door or window opens and pool alarms that activate with water surface disturbances.

Each household can receive one set of each alarm type.
