OCALA, Fla. — A pilot was rescued Saturday after crashing at the Ocala International Airport, says Ocala Fire Rescue.
Fire officials say they responded after a distress call from the pilot, whose plane was found stuck in a line of trees just outside the airport.
Due to the plane’s position when it crashed, officials say the pilot could not exit the craft themselves, and needed first responders help to get out of the wreckage.
The pilot was taken to a hospital after being rescued.
