A jury of twelve Americans found former President Donald Trump guilty on all 34 felony charges of falsifying business records in his New York City criminal hush-money trial.

Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee in November's election, is the first former U.S. president in the nation’s history to be convicted of a crime.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 11.

“This was a rigged, disgraceful trial. The real verdict is going to be Nov. 5 by the people,” Trump said as he exited court.

Florida lawmakers on both sides of the aisle reacted to the announcement.

Gov. Ron DeSantis asserted that the trial was part of a concerted effort to "get" Trump.

Sens. Marco Rubio and Rick Scott, both Republicans, had strong feelings on the jury's verdict.

Rep. Val Demings said, "No one is above the law."

Attorney General Ashley Moody said, "Partisan prosecutors hijacked our criminal justice system."

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz posted, in part, "Even powerful ex-presidents face accountability."
