ORLANDO, Fla. — SeaWorld Orlando unveiled its summer lineup Wednesday, including the grand opening of the new "Antarctica Realm" experience and the return of weekend events such as Viva la Musica and the return of Bands, Brew and BBQ.

Antarctica Realm will be home to the new family launch coaster, "Penguin Trek," set to open this summer, SeaWorld officials said. Guests can also enjoy up-close encounters with penguins in the expansive penguin habitat. While visiting, guests can enjoy a drink at "South Pole Sips," a bar offering ice-cold draft beer, canned selections, and frozen cocktails. 

SeaWorld Orlando is continuing its 60th anniversary celebration with a new interactive parade called "So Much More to Sea," featuring SeaWorld's fan-favorite characters Shamu and Crew, along with the park's ocean crew. Guests will also be able to start their day hanging out with Shamu and Crew at the new "Shamu and Crew Better Together Breakfast." Reservations are required and capacity is limited. 

More new summer additions include: 

  • Cirque-style show, Xceleration: Guests can catch a live stunt show called "Xceleration," featuring hip-hop music, BMX, roller skating and skateboarding at the air-conditioned Nautilus Theater.
  • Sea Lion Presentation: Starting on June 7, the debut of "Flippers, Facts and Fun: The Sea Lion Experience", a presentation that will have guests laughing and learning lots of facts about sea lions.
  • Rescue Tails: Guests will hear inspiring tales of rescues while learning about the importance of conservation at Seaport Theater.
  • Limited-edition 60th Anniversary Food & Beverage, Merchandise and Collectibles: Guests can commemorate SeaWorld’s milestone 60th Anniversary with special exclusive food and beverage offerings, collectables, and memorabilia throughout the year, including a new souvenir popcorn bucket, souvenir sipper, special 60th anniversary beer on draft, and snacks and sips like Shamu-shaped pretzels, Seaberry Splash Dippin’ Dots and Rita's Shark Gelati.

SeaWorld officials also announced the return of their fireworks show, "Ignite," which includes music, lights and pyrotechnics. Guests can keep the fun going at night at Club SeaGlow at Bayside Stadium, where a DJ will be spinning dance music all evening. This event is only available on select nights.
