MELBOURNE, Fla. — It's time for the 9th Annual Brevard Renaissance Fair in Melbourne, beginning Saturday.

Guests can enjoy concerts, stage shows, food and drink vendors, plus all types of medieval-themed wares.

Organizers say it's a chance to step back in time and from the worries of the world.

"It's kind of the romance of the renaissance without the reality, so you get to see the spectacle of jousting knights, get to eat the big turkey leg, drink the meade, meet the queen — you don't have to worry about the other stuff," says Andrew Meade, Brevard Renaissance Fair Entertainment Director.

The festival is at Wickham Park and runs each weekend from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. through February 4th.
