VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia County is calling on all volunteers to come to help clean the beaches. This comes after all the Independence Day celebrations, with many people leaving behind a trail of trash.
Any volunteer, whether it be an individual or a group, can come out here and help clean up the beaches after a long weekend of festivities.
People can come out to their favorite stretch of the beach from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday. It’s all part of the county’s mission to “Keep Volusia Beautiful.” Bring your own bucket or trash bag with grabbers or gloves.
Trash bags are available upon request at all toll booths. Roving carts will canvas the area assisting with garbage collection.
A1A Beach Cleanup even has a bingo sheet for kids on its website to make the activity fun for all ages.
