ORLANDO, Fla. — UCF defensive back Justin Hodges is one of two suspects arrested in connection with a recent home invasion and robbery, according to the Orlando Police Department.

Hodges, 20, was charged Thursday with home invasion robbery with a firearm and mask, and Nevaeh Mosher, 21, was charged with home invasion robbery.

According to an Orlando police report, Mosher told Hodges and two others how to enter the 55 West apartment building in downtown Orlando on Jan. 9. After Mosher knocked on the door of her ex-boyfriend’s apartment to get him to open the door, Hodges and the others pushed their way in, according to the police report.

Hodges told police he was helping Mosher get her belongings back from her ex-boyfriend, authorities said.

Police are still searching for two other people involved.

Hodges, who is from Fort Lauderdale, has been dismissed from the football program, according to a statement from the UCF Athletics Department. “Per university policy, the UCF student conduct process will be initiated.”

As part of the student conduct process, the case will be reviewed to determine if a hearing is warranted. If it moves forward for possible disciplinary action by the university, options for disciplinary sanctions range from a warning up to possible expulsion.

Hodges had played in all 14 games for UCF last year, registering 40 total tackles — 23 solo and 17 assisted, with an interception and five pass break-ups.
