For many Americans, Thanksgiving is a time to express gratitude and be with their families.

For many Native Americans, it's “a day of mourning” — a reminder of centuries of racism toward and mistreatment of Indigenous people.

In this 30-minute episode, Spectrum News anchor Tammie Fields leads a discussion with members of the Native American community to get their perspectives on this very sensitive topic.

Justice For All: Native Perspectives on Thanksgiving airs Thursday, November 17th at 7pm on Spectrum News 13, Spectrum Bay News 9 and on the Spectrum News app.

Guests:

  • Robert Rosa — Florida Indigenous Alliance

  • Sheridan Murphy — Florida Indigenous Alliance
