- Thomas McKeon says it’s challenging to turn off of Peninsula Circle & onto Pineda Cswy
- FDOT is studying the intersection to determine if improvements can be made
Thomas McKeon says it’s difficult to get out of his neighborhood safely.
“It’s really hard to make a right turn, and that time of day it’s near impossible to make a left,” said McKeon.
McKeon lives off Peninsula Circle and has noticed an increase in traffic when he wants to turn onto Pineda Causeway.
“Sometimes I can’t make the full left, so I have to stop in the median,” he said, “And wait for an opening. So that’s a little hairy.”
McKeon blames the problems on an uptick in traffic on the Pineda Causeway due to new development on the other side of I-95.
We told FDOT about the issue, and their engineers are now studying the intersection to determine if any improvements can be made.
McKeon hopes FDOT approves the installation of a traffic signal to help. Thomas would like a traffic signal installed.
