ORLANDO, Fla. — The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has updated its facial covering policy, no longer requiring masks for people attending most performances, a spokesperson announced Monday.

Select indoor shows and events may require guests to wear masks, including shows making up the 2021/2022 Fairwinds Broadway in Orlando season, the arts center spokesperson said. All Broadway performances will still require masks for guests 2 years of age and older, both vaccinated and unvaccinated. People who have COVID-19 symptoms or do not feel well should stay home, officials said.

Some other concerts or other performances could, too. In some cases, artists could call for restrictions. People with tickets to shows should view the Dr. Phillips Center’s website and its Know Before You Go Guide before attending to ensure they are prepared.

A policy requiring people to wear face masks when attending shows at the Dr. Phillips Center was announced during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
