SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio — Fans of life-sized dinosaurs and scaly dragons might want to check out a new attraction coming to the Summit County Fairgrounds.

The Dino & Dragon Stroll will showcase huge, life-like creatures, some more than 28 feet tall and 60 feet wide, powered with animatronics and sound to bring them to life for viewers.

The stroll will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 at the fairgrounds, 229 E. Howe Road in Tallmadge.

Visitors can move at their own pace through the handicap-accessible exhibit, which features everything from legendary winged, horned and fire-breathing dragons to T-Rex, Velociraptor and Stegosaurus.

The beasts have moving heads, tails, wings and necks, as well as blinking eyes and moving mouths. Visitors are encouraged to get close throughout the exhibit.

Extra fees will be charged for any additional activities, rides and attractions set up during the stroll. Food will be available for purchase.

As the Dino & Dragon Stroll travels across North America, organizers have teamed up with local food banks and food pantries to help “Stomp Out Hunger.”

Visitors are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item to deposit in food bins that will be set up at the entrance to the show. All food collected at the Summit County Fairgrounds will be distributed to families in need in the Akron area, organizers said.

During the 20-city tour, the Dino Stroll is also making stops at hospitals and schools, bringing dragons and dinosaurs to the kids.

Tickets for the event are $24.99 and must be purchased in advance online. Children under 2 and military members and veterans will be admitted free.
