Parts of Daytona Beach received 8-10 inches of rain Friday evening, leading to localized flooding in some areas.
International Speedway Boulevard, Ridgewood Avenue and Atlantic Avenue were among the streets flooded, according to Daytona Beach Police.
A News 13 crew saw a sedan stuck in the water on International Speedway Boulevard before US-1 for more than an hour and a half, until a tow truck arrived.
Paul Slavin of Port Orange says he hit a few flooded roads while coming back from dinner in Ormond Beach.
“Could be better, could be worse,” he said. “We haven’t had a hurricane all year, so this is like the end of the season, so we’re okay. We’re fine.”
