Earlier in the day, police identified the other two people arrested as Jameon Brown, 22, and a 17-year-old male. The shooting took place around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Two officers drove by the area in an unmarked car Tuesday and did not have a chance to get out of their vehicle before they were fired upon, Chief Orlando Rolon said.

Police fired back from within their car, Rolon added.

One teen received arm and leg injuries that were treated, police said. Neither officer was hurt.

It remains unclear why police were in the area, and the motive of the shooting is still unclear.

"What justifies an individual pulling out a gun and firing at the occupants of that vehicle? That’s going to have to be determined. Again, we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, but what we saw back here was pretty disturbing," Rolon said.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is now conducting an investigation of the shooting.

Police urged anyone with information about the whereabouts of the third person to call 1-800-423-TIPS(8477) or the Orlando Police Department's non-emergency line at 321-235-5300. Information also may be shared at CrimeLine.org.
