On Thursday, the school was informed it had enough doses to open up the event to anyone in the community eligible under current state guidelines.
“You know we had a lot of students yesterday who were just really excited and just really glad we were able to offer this on campus for them,” Yurasek said. “And then today, knowing that was opening up, we were getting questions about, you know can I bring my brother or a family member with them. We’re excited we were able to do that for them today.”
Around 500 students, staff and community members received their first shot through the event.
Everyone who attended will return to the library May 5 or May 6 to receive their second dose.
