SANFORD, Fla. – Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is getting into the Halloween spirit with its annual Zoo Boo Bash event.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on October 17-18 and October 24-25.
The zoo will feature Halloween decorations while visitors enjoy various activities, including trick-or-treating in designated areas.
This year, because of the ongoing pandemic, Zoo Boo Bash will have a number of health and safety measures in place such as limited capacity, social distancing and mandatory face masks for visitors over the age of 13.
“At Central Florida Zoo, we’ve always prided ourselves on creating a safe, fun and educational environment for families,” Central Florida Zoo CEO Dino Ferri said in a statement. “With the help of our ongoing partner Orlando Health, we have implemented necessary precautions to hold our wildly popular Halloween event while protecting the health and safety of our guests.”
All visitors are encouraged to wear costumes to the event.
The zoo will also be using date-specific, timed entry.

Central Florida Zoo is the latest area attraction to offer a Halloween event this year. Many area theme parks have canceled their big events or decided to hold modified versions of the events.
