WILDWOOD, Fla. -- Three Sumter County residents face a laundry list of drug charges after investigators with a warrant searched a residence on County Road 125-B in Wildwood on Tuesday. Investigators found a vast array of illicit substances, including heroin, meth and LSD, according to officials.

Lance Hanson, 36, is being held on a $70,000 bond at the Sumter County Detention Center in Bushnell on charges of trafficking heroin and methamphetamine; possession of marijuana, suboxone, and hallucinogens with intent to sell, among other crimes.

McCullough, 21, posted a $2,000 bond for charges of possessing of marijuana under 20 grams and possessing drug paraphernalia and was released from jail Tuesday.

Keller, 19, also posted a $2,000 bond and was released. She was charged with possession of a control substance.

Sumter County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Squad arrived at the Wildwood home just after noon Tuesday.

“The search warrant was the result of a two-month-long investigation at the above location due to numerous complaints of suspicious vehicles, persons, and suspicious activity related to possible narcotic sales,” the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.  

“The suspect of the investigation, Lance Hanson, who was present during the execution of the search warrant, was immediately detained outside of the residence,” the statement added. “During the time he was detained, he discarded a bag of suspected methamphetamine and a bag of prescription medication onto the ground as detectives made contact with him.”

Officers found numerous controlled substances and drug paraphernalia within Hanson's locked bedroom. 

He had the only key. Detectives discovered:

  • 58.32 grams of heroin 

  • 14.89 grams of methamphetamine 

  • 134.73 grams of marijuana 

  • 34.05 grams of Suboxone, a drug used to treat opiate addiction

  • Less than 1 gram of LSD

  • A small amount of THC oil

  • Drug paraphernalia
