The incidents happened Tuesday afternoon just blocks from the high school on Kaley Street.
In the first incident, a 14-year-old girl was walking home from school at about 2:30 p.m. when she reported that a man in a pickup truck asked her for directions, Orlando Police said. According to investigators, the girl got uncomfortable when he asked a second time. Then, he asked her to get in the truck and go with him. She quickly walked away.
A half hour later, a man in a vehicle of unknown color and make stopped and asked another female Boone High School student for directions to the school, police say.
When she got closer to the vehicle, she noticed the man was performing a lewd act on himself.
"I can tell you right now if someone were to approach my daughter, there’s going to be problems, there’s going to be big problems," parent Spencer Osburn said. "An adult should in no way, shape or form be approaching, or telling a child to come to them. I’m sorry, it’s absolutely ridiculous."
Boone High School Principal Dusty Johns said the two girls did the right thing by reporting the encounters. He added it’s a good time for parents and guardians to remind their children not to go anywhere with a stranger.
