ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Twenty-five Brevard County children took a trip to Walt Disney World on Tuesday, thanks to a partnership between Disney and the Cocoa Police Department's nonprofit, Cocoa Community First.

- For many of the children, it was their first trip to a theme park
The children who were treated to the trip were selected by Brevard County school principals and teachers based on their hard work and good behavior.
"The purpose of this trip is to connect with these kids and to let them know we recognize they are doing good things," community resource officer Chris Hattaway said in a release.
For many of the children, it was their first trip to a theme park.
The Cocoa Police Department makes the trip every year during the summer before school starts.
