ORLANDO, Fla. — A big scare overnight for some neighbors living in an assisted living facility.
- House fire prompts evacuation at nearby ALF
- No injuries
- Fire under investigation
According to Orange County Fire Rescue, the fire broke out at a home near Bernice Court and Jepson Street late Thursday night.
When firefighters arrived, they reported seeing flames shooting through the roof of the home.
Because it was so close to the assisted living center -- they were evacuated as a precaution for a period of time.
That fire was under control fairly quickly and no injuries are reported.
One fire truck remained overnight to watch for hot spots.
