ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- One person was seriously injured Friday night after a SunRail train crashed into a vehicle in Orange County, authorities said.

The crash happened at about 8 p.m. at the tracks on Orange Avenue and Sand Lake Road, near the Orlando Health station.
The Florida Highway Patrol said George Evan, 60, of Ohio drove a 2004 Chevrolet sedan southbound on the tracks and was rear-ended by the train.
The driver was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center as a trauma alert. About 95 people were on board the SunRail train at the time of the crash, authorities said. None were injured.
Some trains were delayed by as much as two hours because of the crash.
Authorities are trying to determine why Evan drove onto the tracks. Charges are pending toxicology results against the driver.
An investigtion is ongoing.
