MELBOURNE, Fla. -- They are going "medieval" in Brevard County this weekend for the fourth annual Brevard Renaissance Fair.

  • Brevard Renaissance Fair returns
  • The event features food, drink and stage shows
  • The fair runs for the next three weekends

Setup for the huge, three weekend long event at Wickham Park continued Friday morning.

This year's theme is a take on the movie A Knight's Tale. There are more than 70 stage shows each day, plenty of time period handcrafted wares, and lots of food and drink.

"We have music, comedy, drama and everything going on," said Anthony Derivi with the Brevard Renaissance Fair. "And that's kind of where the human enlightenment came from. The Renaissance."

Organizers say this year the fair will host its first-ever eight-man joust.

The Brevard Renaissance Fair runs for the next three weekends.
