ORLANDO, Fla. — A call to police about a mannequin floating in Lake Baldwin on Thursday morning has led to a death investigation after it turned out to be a body.

Orlando Police have released few details regarding the investigation, clearing the scene by mid-morning.
Investigators said a witness called police before 8 a.m. to report what appeared to be a mannequin floating in Lake Baldwin, right in the middle of Orlando's Baldwin Park community off Colonial Drive.
The "mannequin" turned out to be a body, which police pulled from the lake.
Christopher Fama, who lives in the area and goes to the lake often, said he was surprised.
"I’ve lived here about five and a half years. I’ve never seen anything like this go on here. It’s just heartbreaking, too, for some family member to be gone," he said.
Orlando Police said it was an apparent suicide, and no foul play is suspected. There will be no further updates on this story.
