Michael Shaver, 36, was last seen in 2015. Since then, neither friends nor family members have had any contact with him, and Lake County deputies have called his disappearance suspicious.
A search for him began only a few weeks ago, when a friend of Shaver's asked law enforcement to perform a well-being check.
When deputies went to Shaver's home on the 9800 block of Sandy Pine Road last week, they meet Shaver's wife, Laurie, who told them she hadn't seen her husband since 2015.
Deputies were allowed inside the residence to look around, but while interviewing her outside, they said Shaver’s wife stopped cooperating and requested an attorney.
Late Friday afternoon, county investigators discovered a human bone, thought to be part of an arm, behind a fire pit at Laurie Shaver's home. It's unknown whether the bone is from Michael Shaver. Deputies said they would return Saturday morning to search for more remains and continue their investigation.
Anyone with information on Michael Shaver is asked to call the Lake County Sheriff's Office or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
