The victim was identified as 53-year-old James Cole. Investigators are now looking for a person of interest.
The Sheriff's Office on Saturday released a picture of a man they said was accompanied by a woman and possibly left in the vehicle seen seconds after the homicide.
Investigators said family members of James Cole were unable to contact him, so deputies did a well-being check and he was found just before 1:30 p.m. Friday inside the Bail Bondsman Inc. on West Michigan Street.
"Unfortunately this is a tragedy we found him dead," said Jane Watrel with the Orange County Sheriff's office.
Investigators said he was found dead of a gunshot wound. Detectives believe Cole owned the Bail Bondsman business.
"It appears this was targeted," said Watrel.
