The fire began just before 5 p.m. Sunday at the building at Magellan and Grouper roads.
A driver spotted flames coming from the roof, according to Cape Canaveral Fire Department Capt. Brian Dennison.
"Because of it being in the roof area, and its remote (location) from the driveway and parking lot, it was difficult to gain access to the roof area. So it did take us some time to gain access with the ladder truck that's up in the background and get to the fire area itself," Dennison said.
One firefighter was treated for a heat-related injury.
"There was no damage to any SpaceX equipment or hardware as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation," SpaceX said in a news release.
