A Kissimmee man has been arrested and charged with seven counts of promoting photographs/video of the sexual performance of a child.
William Marrero-Maldonado, 33, was arrested Tuesday in Osceola County and charged with seven counts related to the promotion of child pornography.
The investigation began in March when detectives identified a computer with an IP address that was linked to child pornography.
After further investigation, detectives discovered the computer was located at Maldonado's residence in Kissimmee.
On April 29, detectives obtained a search warrant for Maldonado's residence, and took his computer into evidence.
Maldonado was at home and cooperated with the investigation.
Based on his statements and the evidence, he was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail.
The investigation is on-going with additional charges pending.
