This weekend, In Focus will discuss drugged driving.

JoDee Kenney sat down with Candice Lightner, founder of We Save Lives and MADD. Lightner talks about how she became aware of the drugged driving problem in this country and that no one, not even MADD, was doing anything. At the time, distracted driving was becoming an issue, but no one organization was focused on it. That's when she decided to start We Save Lives - a coalition of 60 to 70 organizations to focus on distracted and drugged driving. She is looking to extend their work into addressing speeding. Lightner is the force behind National Passenger Safety Week. It focuses on alerting passenger on how to stay safe and empowering them to speak up.
