Marcus Whitman, Lyons and Caledonia-Mumford won Section V Class C boys basketball titles Friday. 

For the Wildcats, it marked the first time since 1976 that the boys basketball team claimed a title. Ryan Herod earned MVP honors with 18 points in a 63-44 win over number one seed Red Jacket for the Class C1 title.

Perry missed a last second shot and the Lions held on for a 46-45 win in Class C2. Horace Betts IV scored 15 points and was the MVP for Lyons, who will have a bye in the playdowns.

The Raiders beat York for the third time this season, 72-43. Vin Molisani the MVP with a game-high 29 points. Cal-Mum faces Marcus Whitman Monday in a playoff, with the winner play Lyons for a spot in next weekend's Class C Far West Regional at Buffalo State.
