DELAND, Fla. — You don't have to go to a museum to see art in DeLand, just take a stroll downtown.

  • WHERE'S THE #ARTINCENTRALFL? Know of an amazing piece of public art where you live? A mural, a painted utility box, a sculpture? Send it to us using the Spectrum News 13 appor tag us on Instagram with the hashtag #ArtinCentralFl. We'll share a new piece each week.

The city's sculpture walk features more than a dozen statues around the downtown area.

The city and Museum of Art DeLand partnered to bring these sculptures to the city, featuring artists from all over the world.

Most of the sculptures are temporary -- the installations are changed out about every 2 years. Some of them, however, become permanent fixtures.

The city unveiled the newest crop of sculptures in April. They range in style and materials used. Some are meant to pose with, some you can even sit on.

You can see a list of the sculptures, and a map, on the Museum of Art — Deland website.
