An Albany County alliance board has voted to start negotiations to demolish the Albany Central Warehouse.

The cost of the demolition is estimated at more than $14 million, which is more than the $13 million of funding that was gathered by the state and county.

Officials say the demolition will be done without an implosion and is expected in the coming months.

The Advance Albany County Alliance took control of the property in January for $50,000.
