LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Disney World on Friday announced some new changes coming to Hollywood Studios.

The theme park’s popular Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster ride, which has been known for its Aerosmith storyline, will now have a new theme — Jim Henson's The Muppets, according to a post on the official Disney Parks Blog.

This will be the first Disney ride to feature the iconic characters, as guests can look forward to enjoying new music and then shop Muppets-themed merchandise on Sunset Boulevard.

Additionally, the long-running Muppet*Vision 3D show is set to close to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. Land.

The new world, which will be at the south side of Hollywood Studios, will feature a roller coaster that recreates the door vault scene, as well as dining, shopping and a new theater show.

“As we move forward with these changes, we are having creative conversations and exploring ways to preserve the film and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future,” the park stated in its blog post.

In the meantime, Disney officials said that there is still enough time to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and watch Muppet*Vision 3D before the changes take place.
