ORLANDO, Fla. — MegaCon Orlando is back, and in a big way for the 2024 edition of the popular fan convention.
The event, the largest of its kind in the Southeast, kicks off Thursday at the Orange County Convention Center for four days of entertainment for comic, sci-fi, movie, TV and anime fans.
There will be plenty of things for fans to do: from panels and workshops to meetups and shopping. They will also chance to see some of their favorite celebrities (the lineup is jam-packed this year), as well as get their autograph and take a picture with them.
It’s expected to be a busy, busy weekend. To help you prepare, here are a few things to now about the convention before you go.
When is MegaCon Orlando?
MegaCon Orlando, hosted by Fan Expo HQ, takes place at the Orange County Convention Center from Feb. 1 through Feb. 4.
Which celebrities will be at MegaCon this year?
The celebrity lineup is stacked this go-round. It might be easier to list who’s not going to be at MegaCon at this point. Some of the big names that will be in attendance include Tom Hiddleston, Ewan McGregor, Michael J. Fox, Geena Davis, Marisa Tomei, Gaten Matarazzo, Rainn Wilson, Christopher Lloyd, Cameron Monaghan, William Shatner, Ming-Na Wen and Giancarlo Esposito—just to name a few.
That list doesn’t include the dozens of voice over actors—Ashley Eckstein, Billy West and Peter Cullen—and comic book artists—Frank Miller and Geoff Johns—that fans will be able to meet at the event.

What is there to do at MegaCon?
MegaCon features dozens of activities for fans, no matter their interests. There will be several celebrity-filled Q&As and panels—the cast of “Back of the Future” will participate in a panel on Feb. 1, Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis will reunite for a “Thelma & Louise” panel on Feb. 2, and the cast of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” will have a reunion panel on Feb. 4.
Other activities include a gaming lounge, trading car tournaments, a custom haunted house from A Petrified Forest, a family zone with workshops for kids, cosplay contests and more.
How do I attend MegaCon?
You’ll need to buy tickets to enjoy MegaCon. Single-day tickets and four-day passes are still on sale as of now. Single-day tickets start at $30 for adults, but pricing varies depending on the day you go. The four-day passes cost $139 per person. The VIP and Ultimate Fan Packages are sold out.
Autographs and photo-ops with celebrities must be purchased separately.
More information on tickets can be found on the MegaCon website.
What about parking?
As stated before, it’s expected to be a very busy weekend once MegaCon rolls into town. Parking will be available at the Orange County Convention Center, but spaces are expected to fill up fast. Planning ahead is key and this year, MegaCon is again offering fans a chance to purchase their parking in advance.
There will also be parking available at satellite lots near the convention center and shuttles will available to take fans to the event.
